Government of Karnataka
Relaxation of the re-opening requirements for IT and ITeS companies. In furtherance to objections raised by the industry, the requirement of compulsory CCTV recording of the “workspace” and submission of the same to the Municipal Authority every fortnight has been done away with. The requirement to have CCTV recordings of common areas/cafeteria, etc., is still in force. These recordings should be made available to the authorities “as and when necessary”. The retention period has not been prescribed but we would recommend that the recording be retained for at least 30-45 days.
