Bangalore (and other parts of the State) lockdown extended till May 31, 2020. The significant aspects of the order, which will be in force from May 19, 2020 till May 31, 2020, are as follows: a. Other than essential activities, all other activities remain prohibited in “containment zones”. The earlier demarcation of red, orange and green zones has been removed. If your office is not in a “containment zone”, it can now open for regular business subject to the below conditions. b. Other than prohibited activities such as opening of malls, etc., all other industrial, commercial, construction activities are now permitted between 7 am – 7 pm. c. Every Sunday shall be a complete lockdown, other than for essential activities. d. No limit has been prescribed on the number of employees who can work in factories/IT and ITeS companies/private establishments – the earlier limit of 33% has been removed. e. Work from home shall be followed, as far as possible. f. Staggering of working/business hours, thermal screening, etc., shall be followed. g. Heads of establishments shall ensure social distancing at the work place. h. Lastly, on the Arogya Setu app, the employers are now required, on a best efforts basis, to ensure that employees download the app on compatible mobile phones. The earlier mandatorily requirement to download the app has now been removed.
