Punya Shekar is a Principal Associate at the Bangalore office of the Firm. Her practice areas include foreign investments, corporate law, transactional, advisory and regulatory affairs, including advising companies on general corporate compliances and assisting them with resolving pre-acquisition corporate non-compliances.
She has been involved in representing companies with regard to foreign investments in India such as establishment of wholly owned subsidiaries, and acquisitions and also assisting with their on-going corporate and regulatory compliance in India and their exit from India. She also have been involved in organisational structuring, due diligence and advice on regulatory approvals.
She also has experience in labour and employment laws and has presented at employee awareness programs regarding prevention of sexual harassment at workplace.
She has handled corporate compliance for clients such as Oracle, Microsemi, Micro Plastics, Leggett and Platt, TDCX, Black Knight, NTT Cloud etc.
