Mr. Sewar is a Partner in the Gurgaon officer of the firm. He has 17 years of experience in handling civil, criminal, and commercial litigation at the Supreme Court of India, High Court, and District Courts in Delhi, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Goa, Karnataka, Gujarat, Mumbai, Uttarakhand, & Punjab and Haryana in matters ranging from urgent interim relief petitions in international and domestic arbitrations, commercial suits, writ petitions challenging policies, circulars, tender disputes, various commercial disputes, government decisions in contracts, etc.

• Managed several large ticket arbitrations with amounts ranging from Rs. 200 Crores to Rs. 900 Crores. Defended the termination of a contract for laying of a pipeline, managed and defended the termination of a joint venture by a Japanese client before NCLT (oppression and mismanagement) and arbitration (valuation and termination), represented several banks in litigation against NHAI for recovery of aggregate termination payment of 1800 Crores in five road projects. Defended the termination of a contract awarded to an IT behemoth by a Government of Punjab entity.
• Represented several clients in complaints arising out of criminal breach of trust, cheating, defamation, falsification of records, criminal intimidation, and forgery. Provided relevant documentary evidence to investigators of the Economic Offences Wing of the Delhi Police in several matters, successfully opposed Anticipatory bail proceedings, and successfully challenged a closure report before the Delhi High Court by securing an order of reinvestigation of the case by a senior officer and stay of proceedings before the Magistrate. Handled several quashing petitions involving summons to directors on false charges. Instituted several petitions for registration of F.I.R arising out of criminal complaints against ex-employees, store managers, fraudulent directors, and erstwhile business partners. Handling a shipping collision case.
• Contested several suits for injunction, declaration and damages arising out of violation of agreements for (i) Joint Venture; (ii) supply of goods and services (iii) family settlement; (iv) confidentiality and non-disclosure and suits pertaining to easementary rights, infringement of trademarks, termination of contracts, possession, and partition.
• Routinely advising multinationals on day-to-day issues including contract negotiations, statutory compliance, internal investigations, corruption, data protection, corporate governance, responses to notices by government regulatory bodies, due diligence exercises and registrations under various statutes, and compliance with local laws. Routinely advising multinationals on relevant environmental regulatory requirements related to emissions etc.
