Kochhar & Co. is pleased to announce its role as legal advisor to the Industrial & Energy division of Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Company Limited (Kanoo I&E), Saudi Arabia, a part of the Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Group (YBA Kanoo Group), a conglomerate from the GCC countries headquartered in Bahrain, on its acquisition of Powerparts (India) Private Limited (Powerparts). The team provided end-to-end legal support to the acquirer, including due diligence, drafting, negotiation, and finalisation of the transaction documents, and providing closing assistance.

Powerparts is the distributor for Perkins (the Industrial Power Systems Division of Caterpillar Inc.) in the North and East of India and the Republic of Bhutan, offering the complete range of Perkins engines to the construction, agriculture, material handling, and electrical power sectors, including providing after-sales services. Powerparts is headquartered at Gurugram and operates a fully equipped workshop facility for major engine overhauls and repairs.

Kanoo I&E is the largest operating division of the YBA Kanoo Group in the region, providing comprehensive services and solutions to core industries including oil & gas, power, utilities, aviation, logistics, heavy engineering, and manufacturing.
