Ranjit is a member of the Firm’s Real Estate & Construction and Projects & Infrastructure practice groups.

He has experience in handling all kinds of real estate transactions including large and complex commercial leases and sales, construction, design and build transactions, standard form contracts such as FIDIC, JCT, EPC, NEC, construction development projects, joint development ventures, built to suit leases, lease terminations, etc. Apart from the initial advise on structuring the transaction, his work has included comprehensive title verification of immovable property, negotiations and preparation of documentations, advice on regulatory issues, risk analysis in relation to non-compliance, real estate related litigation, service level agreements for facilities management, professional services agreement etc.

Ranjit has experience is representing and advising some of the largest multinational corporations including Fortune 500 companies.

  • Regularly advises a world leader in computer & electronics space, a Fortune Global 50 American health insurance company, a US based Fortune Global 50 retail company and other similar multinational corporations, with their real estate, construction and other requirements on a pan-India basis.
  • Advised one of the oldest and largest banking institutions in the United States with its real estate requirements in India.
  • Advised a Spanish conglomerate group in the infrastructure and renewable energy space, on the laws pertaining to land acquisition in India and assisted in acquisition of approximately 400 acres of land to set up a windmill project in the northern regions of the State of Karnataka.
  • Regularly advises a company which is a joint venture between one of India’s biggest conglomerates and an American multinational chain of coffeehouses, with regard to its business need of expanding its presence and operations in Karnataka.
  • Regularly advises an American multinational and the world’s largest technology company that specializes in consumer electronics, computer software and online services, as the Firm is the lead counsel for handling the entire real estate portfolio for it in India.
  • Advised the largest R&D institute outside of South Korea of a South Korean multinational company that is the second largest technology company and the world’s largest manufacturer of consumer electronics, in respect of its real estate, construction and other requirements in Bangalore.
