Pinki has several decades of experience in Washington, D.C., including extensive work with the World Bank Group (WBG). Over the course of her career, she has served in various capacities as staff and consultant across several WBG agencies, including the Economic Development Institute, International Finance Corporation, International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes, Public-Private Infrastructure Advisory Facility and Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency.
Her work with the WBG has primarily involved research, analytical assignments and transaction advisory assistance to public sector agencies on infrastructure finance, public-private partnerships and sector reforms in the electricity, water, and roads and highways sectors. She has worked in and with infrastructure agencies across 44 countries spanning Africa, the Middle East, Latin America and the Caribbean, South Asia and North America.
Pinki has also worked as an Associate Attorney in Washington, D.C., where she was involved in corporate and arbitration matters.
Pinki was awarded the Robert S. McNamara Economics Fellowship in recognition of her academic and professional potential. She studied at St. Stephen’s College and the Faculty of Law, University of Delhi, where she completed her History Honours and law degrees. She subsequently obtained her LL.M. and S.J.D. from the George Washington University School of Law, specialising in Industrial Regulation.
