Rupali is a Senior Partner in the Firm’s Mumbai office. She has over 18 years of experience in handling all kinds of corporate, transactional and commercial matters. Her areas of specialization include joint ventures, foreign collaboration, M&A’s, private equity, banking & finance, aviation, infrastructure and real estate.
Rupali regularly advises clients on wide range of complex issues arising out of company law, foreign exchange laws and commercial contracts. She has advised and assisted several multinational clients in diverse sectors on entry strategy, business formation and strategic alliances, corporate structuring, joint ventures, collaborations, mergers and acquisitions, technology transfers and commercial contracts, etc.
Her Banking & Finance experience includes advising clients on all kinds of loan and security documents, external commercial borrowings, enforcement of security etc. She regularly advises various foreign funds, multinational banks and non banking financial companies in relation to loan and security documents including inter-creditor agreements, security-trustee agreements, master risk participation agreements etc.
In the aviation sector, Rupali has advised airlines on various matters including purchase of aircrafts, engines and various other aircraft related components, drafting and negotiation of all kinds of aircraft leasing agreements including sale and lease back transactions, upgrade and maintenance contracts. She has also successfully negotiated cargo and ground handling contracts on behalf of a public sector airline with various airport authorities.
Rupali's infrastructure practice includes advising clients on infrastructure projects related to roads and bridges. She has expertise in advising client on PPP projects, drafting of tender documentation including concession agreement, legal evaluation of bidders, negotiation with bidders etc. Her recent infrastructure work includes providing legal consultancy to a public sector undertaking in Maharashtra regarding development of a trans harbour sea link on DBFOT basis.
Rupali has authored several articles and chapters for magazines and other publications of international repute.
